We strongly condemn, with deep sorrow, the assassination of activist Yanar Mohammed, President of the Organization of Women’s Freedom, in Baghdad on 2/3/2026. This cowardly act threatens human rights and women’s empowerment, which are fundamental pillars of sustainable development.
We call on the authorities to conduct an immediate investigation and hold the perpetrators accountable, and we reaffirm our continued commitment to supporting women’s rights and building a safe and just society.
