The Aarabkha, in collaboration with the Iraqi Reform Department, continues the implementation of its legal empowerment workshop series. The second phase of the project has been launched across correctional centers in the outskirts of Baghdad, following the successful completion of the initial phase within the capital’s central prisons.
These workshops focus on fundamental legal rights, judicial procedures, the General Amnesty Law, and conditional release mechanisms. The initiative aims to enhance access to justice and facilitate effective social reintegration for detainees. In its third phase, the program is scheduled to expand to several Iraqi governorates, in direct alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16), which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions.
