Rights-Based Institutional Reform: Towards an Iraqi Vision Aligned with International Conventions
SULAYMANIYAH– Nesma Ataa Organization, in partnership with Arabkha Organization for Sustainable Development, convened a high-level specialized workshop on human rights. The event was held under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers (Human Rights Department) and with the strategic support of Qi Card.
The workshop featured extensive participation from the Supreme Judicial Council, the Independent High Commission for Human Rights (IHCHR), the Iraqi National Security Service, various ministries, and civil society organizations.
The sessions focused on strengthening institutional capacities and discussing Iraq’s international obligations and human rights mechanisms. The workshop concluded with a set of strategic recommendations aimed at safeguarding human rights and integrating them into national institutional policies and practices.
